EYE is a group of inspired youth from the Bellingen Shire in New South Wales, Australia, who have a passion for our planet. We aim to strengthen the connections between youth and the natural world, while becoming empowered to lead the way to a more environmentally sustainable future.
EYE youth and mentors work together to provide adventurous and enlightening nature camps and leadershiptraining, run projects and campaigns, and participate in Landcare.

This weekend’s workshop was a great success, with plenty of people turning up to help us build our oven, while learning the tricks of the trade from Josh. Thanks to everyone who came along for your enthusiasm… We look forward to ovens of various shapes and sizes springing up in your backyards.

Building on top of the foundations for the pizza oven we laid down another concrete slab upon which our Pizza would eventually cook. While the girls fought for the right to trowel out the concrete mixture the other students were given a demonstration by Benn in planting some new seedlings.
As a warm up exercise for the afternoons work, Olivia conducted a blind tour of the garden in which the students took it in turns to be lead around the garden in a blindfold, experiencing their environment without their sense of sight.
Hey all EYEs and potential EYEs, we have decided to hold our July monthly meeting in the last week of June – so as to avoid having to meet during school holidays. Sorry all you keen bushwalkers, Mother Nature has decided that EYE will not be going up McGrath’s Hump this weekend. We will try and schedule another date for this walk soon.
