Happenings & Events 2013

EYE @the Hub

Bellingen EYE meets at the Youth Hub (corner of Church & William streets) every Monday 4 pm to 5.30 pm. All EYE members and newcomers are welcome. Each week we organise a fun activity – cooking with local food, gardening, learning a craft, such as cordage making; we also invite speakers and watch movies on interesting social & environmental issues. Coming along is the opportunity to hear what is going on in all of the current EYE workgroups and projects, and also to get involved in future projects. See the “Upcoming Events” box on the Home Page for more details.

EYE Camps

These are the heart and soul of EYE! See our Camps pages for details of coming camps, and the Galleries page for some photos of past camps. We always welcome new people to our camps, in fact we save some spots for new people! Also, financial challenges should never prevent anyone from attending an EYE camp. We have a Financial Assistance Fund that anyone can apply for. Confidentiality is strictly observed.

Landcare Working Bees

Bellingen EYE loves working with Bellingen Urban Landcare and the Bush Regeneration Working Bees are back!  EYE members can bring new friends, and even family – this is a great way to learn bush regeneration skills while making Bellingen a more beautiful place. And there is always a great morning tea to reward you for your efforts. Working Bee sites change every time – watch the “Upcoming Events” box.

EYE Bushwalking Group

The goal of the EYE Bushwalking Group is to allow EYE members to experience some of the less easily accessible areas of our local bush land, while being guided by enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate adult guides (who are all volunteers!). Watch our “Upcoming Events” box for dates – to become a member of the Bushwalking Group, you must fill out the Bushwalkers Release Form below.
