jEYEventure 2010 – intro to bush skills
general information
what: enjoy being out in the bush, practice new nature awareness skills, learn what is happening to our planet, meet amazing new friends, have extreme amounts of fun.
date: friday – sunday, 14-16 may, 2010. depart from bello at 3:45 pm friday, arrive back in bello 6:30 pm sunday.
place: mt. hyland wilderness retreat. mt. hyland is 1½ hours drive from Bellingen- we will be travelling by coach and mini-van.
how much: $145 for the weekend. includes transport, lodging in comfy beds, all meals, tuition, and materials. this cost is so low due to a 40% subsidy by our grant from the Foundation for Young Australians. scholarships are available – cost should not prevent anyone from participating. contact lisa 0423 362 844 for a financial assistance application form (confidentiality assured).

what to bring
warm sleeping bag or doona
sheet, pillow (bed/mattress supplied)
towel
clothes- bring layers, as temperatures can vary greatly
jumper/jacket/beanie – it may get cold at night
pajamas/slippers
closed shoes/hiking boots
raincoat/hat/gumboots – activities will continue rain or shine
sun hat
toiletries
torch
sunscreen/insect repellent if desired
for camouflage activity: please bring old clothes or swimmers that can get really dirty
plastic bags to pack wet/dirty clothes into
musical instrument if you play one
what not to bring
valuables or money – there’s no place to buy anything.
junk food – it’s bad for the environment and we have amazing food at EYE camps.
electronic devices – give ‘em a break for the weekend!

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THIS CAMP:
- Email your name and details to info@bellingeneye.com saying you are registering for jEYEventure, or ring 0423 362 844 and leave a clear message with your name and details.
- You will receive confirmation of your registration. If you don’t, email or ring again!
- After you have received confirmation, send in the following form and finalise payment by Wednesday 10 March – or else your place may be given away.
