EYE has opened my eyes and showed me that there are others that believe.

Helping plan and build the EYE organic garden project has been so great for me and a real inspiration to build my own garden, and develop my knowledge of food and sustainability.

I have been involved with EYE since the first Junior EYE camp. EYE helps me connect with people and to build greater awareness about what is going on with the planet today.
Oliver, age 16
EYE has nourished all the aspects of my life that make me feel alive – a love of my environment, incredible relationships, and learning.
Leah, age 17
EYE has allowed me to grow as an individual and understand in more detail the complex issues of the outside world. Most importantly it has taught me to hope and have faith in the youth of today’s ability to change our world for the better.

Thanks for running the fantastic EYE camps and environmental action days. The plastic bag free action days in town and similar projects have been very important in involving young people in environment issues. They have already had an impact in Bellingen and prove that young people are involved, informed and can make a difference. These are invaluable experiences for the students to make a difference now and in the future when they work together. Keep up the fantastic programs.
Fiona McAulay, Junior EYE parent
I so look forward to my son’s return from EYE camp, as he is always revitalised and full of enthusiasm. We invariably have wonderful discussions about the environment, ethics and an array of ideas he encountered on the camp. The sense of connection with nature and with the other EYE kids, and the feeling that he can make positive change for the planet has been life changing for him.
Jo Pierce, Senior EYE parent
EYE has been a really healthy, exciting, social outlet for our daughter throughout her high school years. EYE manages to provide just the right level of adult support whilst allowing the kids to make decisions, put their ideas into practice, and do great things for the environment whilst having lots of fun. I love that the older EYEs mentor the younger EYEs and are excellent role models for our kids. Being involved with EYE has been great for our daughter’s confidence and I think it has created a sense of optimism and hope for the future which is invaluable for teenagers.
Sarah and Leon Barcala, Senior EYE parents
Being a part of EYE has made a significant difference in our son’s life, connecting him strongly to the environment, his local community and amazingly motivated young people. He has made friendships, developed leadership skills and being involved in the EYE has given him a strong sense of purpose and a belief that he can make a difference.
Tracey and Glenn Puckeridge, Senior EYE parents
EYE is a fantastic initiative for young people to help them understand their interconnectedness with our planet, its living creatures and its fragility. Thank you for this great learning environment for our children. We need more EYE in other towns of Australia!
My Holland, Junior EYE parent
EYE has given our boys a greater understanding of nature, knowledge of our planet, social skills and leadership skills. It has connected them with other young people who have similar interests. This is a wonderful initiative and we hope it continues to benefit others in the future.
John and Jen Boxtel, Senior/Junior EYE Parents
EYE is an amazing organisation, involving truly inspiring people that educate and influence our kids in so many positive and uplifting ways. The skills that my daughter has learned regarding the environment, holistic health and food production are marvelous. She has gained many skills and connected with numerous wonderful people, making friends for life. The adults and mentors involves are simply remarkable people. Thank you EYE.
