How EYE Works
Senior EYE
Senior EYE is for interested youth in Year 9 or older. We welcome members from any part of the Bellingen Shire and beyond. We currently have active members from around the Coffs Coast, and are always happy to invite youth from farther afield to our camps.
Junior EYE (aka jEYE)
Junior EYE is for those keen youth in Years 7 and 8. We hold two jEYE camps a year, plus other special jEYE events. jEYEs are always welcome at Landcare Working Bees and other general EYE events.

EYE-LeG
The LeG is the EYE Leadership Group. Senior EYE members are elected by their peers to be part of the LeG , filling the positions of: EYE Facilitator, Secretary, Education Officer, Internal Communications, Public Relations, Publicity, jEYE Carer, and Heart Person. The LeG meets regularly to do Leadership Training, plan EYE happenings, and take care of the overall vision and goals of EYE.
EYE Administration Staff
The EYE Coordinator works 2 days a week in administration and camp/event planning, attends meetings and events, does leadership training…. and lots of other stuff.
The EYE Administration Assistants are Bellingen EYE members who work part time on all sorts of admin tasks, including bookkeeping, website maintenance, and writing the quarterly EYE newsletter.
When we are lucky enough to receive funding for projects, we are able to hire EYE Project Coordinators for those projects.
We are always happy for anyone to come along and volunteer some time helping out with our many projects!
EYE Mentors
We are lucky to have amazing EYE mentors who work with us in a wide variety of capacities: they help plan and lead our camps; they lead us up mountains on our bushwalks; they help us explore ourselves in all sorts of ways through leadership training and environmental education, and they help us with the practical stuff like finances and websites.
EYE Advisory Group (aka the AdvEYEsory Group)
The EYE Advisory Group meets every few months to discuss and give advice on issues such as long term planning, employment, policies, finance, and fundraising. This group is made up of dedicated and experienced leading citizens from our community, along with members of the EYE Leadership Group.
